Post your location
« on: February 04, 2007, 08:23:43 PM »
Is it just me, or do the others of you wish everybody would post their home location on their profile?  I often find myself checking to see if I'm lucky enough to find a fellow busnut close by.

Just a thought....how about making the members searchable by general location and or bus make, It'd be nice to see who's close and working on what.

There are a couple of Topics on the Help board that try and do this, but that is inconvenient to get to and most members have not filled in their information on those topics either.
Sure wish everybody would fill in their location and bus type in the profile area.

Capt. Ron,

Why do I not see your location at the bottom of your posts?  LOL....

You are able to do this yourself in your Profile.

Thanks

Moderators??  All this effort to change the board?

There is no specific place to enter our bus type on the profile.  I have mine on my signature.  There are places for web page and several other things that seem fairly useless, but no place for bus make or model.  and yes it would be very nice to be able to search based on make, model or location!

Jim, you did great! That is what i would like everybody to do.

Unfortunately there is no specific place to enter this information and it would probably be very difficult to insert. This sofetware package is used by literally thousands of boards and I suspect we are the only bus nut board. LOL I suspect the programmers are not too interested in providing places for this.

Hi Jim,

But there is 2 different places to put this information, just look at my heading.
And, a better place to put your bus discription would be under your picture [where I have Nick & Michelle]
It's all pretty straight forward. If you need help finding it, give me a yell.

Nick, how's that?

I feel a little like I'm bragging, and I like to be lower key, but oh well there it is.
