4104 671 fan hub
« on: March 24, 2019, 08:47:45 AM »
Getting the bus ready for new season, I always inspect the famous fan hub that eventually fails and launches the fan. I was just wondering if anyone has tried to drill and run a bolt thru the shaft diameter between the hub on the engine and the fan mount. I know its the rubber between the inner and outer shafts that fail, would a bolt work to keep them from seperating?

I've seen both drilled and screwed and straped..
If you personally have not done it  , or saw it done.. do not say it cannot be done...1960 4104 6L71ta ddec Falfurrias Tx
