Finding fiberglass panels/rolls
« on: December 05, 2020, 07:52:06 AM »
Where does one find large fiberglass sheets/panels for blanks?  I need 2 of them 205.5x43.5 or I could split the length into thirds.  Hoping to find 1/4 in thick. Web searches only find super thin rolls, so I assume I'm not searching with the correct terminology.

Gary, yes...  I looked at those but they are just a hair too narrow (and I'd prefer 1/4 in thick).  If you have a source, I'd love to get in touch with them.  Thanks!

The guy who has these, only has these rolls. He bought them for a bus and then never used them.  This is a great price so maybe you can consider more bracing or something and make use of these?

Take it to boat repair and let them use a chopper gun to fill the space if you want fiberglass it's about the same price but easier on you, R and M made the rolls and they would come unlamented over time

I hope this isnt for insulating. Better than nothing but barely. They make duct board with reinforced foil on one side. Semi rigid. 4x10' x1" thick. Approx $70 per sheet. Available at hvac supply dealers. Makdad here.

Try a couple of industrial cooling tower supply companies for FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic). Our bus barn is built with the stuff. They are called Resolite & Glassteel (separate companies). A Google search might bring them up.
