Campground stays.
« on: December 08, 2020, 11:09:42 AM »
Looks like Ca. is stopping stays in RV parks for now due to covid. Looks like anyone already there arent effected. Hope it doesn't affect anyone here with their holiday plans.

It's just CA state parks, private RV parks open, BLM open, hit and miss on county, regional, and utility campgrounds.

From what I'm reading there is also a restriction on non-essential travel which seems to be affecting some types of reservations at private campgrounds, motels, and other travel businesses. There does appear to be confusion about this so it would be best to call if you have reservations, but what I'm reading is that overnight or other short stays are not allowed during the stay-at-home order.

I traveled several times during our first lock down, most places will let you stay 1 night for safety concerns. Several county sheriffs in Socal have openly stated they will not enforce any Covid related mandates.

Anybody notice that after the kids went back to school we had a big jump in covid cases? I think an argument could be made (not by me) that this was tantamount to murder. But it just wasn't politically expedient to keep them home, was it?

Two weeks. This whole thing could have been over in two weeks. You can't tell me that there's no way we could have kept everybody fed for two weeks while they stayed home. Not in this day and age. And we could still do it now. But no, that's not politically expedient. Instead we have to drag it out for over a year, maybe more because even with the vaccine that's how long it's going to take. What a load of BS.

Will do Dan!

LA county has had all except a handful of schools closed this school year, but has had the highest rate of Covid infection and death in the state. Orange county have been attending class for several months, but OC has a lower infection rate and death rate than LA county. There is no correlation between kids at school and Covid spread, at least in Socal.

Idaho's situation on Covid is just as bad as Commifornia. But yet, Idaho REFUSES to shut down anything. Just watch out CA-we're seeing the beginning of the end of our freedoms. Just one of the many reasons we've moved to Nampa, Id. Good Luck, TomC

Same reason why we've been tucked away in the southern most National Forest in the country for the last 40 years - & after putting up with all the summer heat & humidity we've now also latched onto Tok Alaska.
Notice we didn't mention mosquitos... both places...
Idaho is a nice place too.
