Locating the Code Plug

I thought I had located the plug for checking codes at the rear bulkhead on my 2002 MCI D4500, but the code machine I borrowed doesn't fit. Does anyone know where to look for sure? A picture would be helpful too. I have 2 friends that have testers, but neither of them fit the plug that appears to be for that purpose. Is there a different kind of tester for these buses? I need to get one, so what kind do I need? Thanks everyone.

There should be 1 under the dash and 1 in the front bay drivers side behind the door with the HVAC breakers .you need the right cable it will be a 6 pin J1708 or the 9 pin J1939

Got a 9pin to 16pin adapter and a usb code reader for Christmas. Yep, your plug should be right there under the dash. It's green.

Not to change the subject over to code readers, but what kind do you have/recommend?

I'm not going to be a good benchmark for code readers. I bought an ELM327 because it's widely supported in the open source software world. I intend to eventually use for digital dash purposes, so I'm not too worried about something that can program the ECM or do any other write operations. It's an experiment waiting to happen, so I'll have to report back here once I've played around with it.

OBD2 has 5 protocalls  and the DDEC uses 6 the OBD will work on a DDEC l ,the Pro/Link is the way to go on a DDEC ll lll or lV
