low air buzzer

Hello to all:

I have had the bus for 5 years and never had the audible alarm for low air pressure.
The dash light works but that's all.
I have no diagram for the system.
What can I check and where is it?
What does it look like?
What is the most common item to break?
If I get stopped by DOT is this an issue?

The buzzer is a little cube an inch or two square in the top right corner of the electrical panel under the driver's window. The noise level is adjustable. Maybe it is disconnected, or just died. In a DOT inspection, everything on the vehicle is supposed to be working. An inspector might not notice the buzzer not audible. If you are not commercial, an inspection is not likely.

My understanding is that DOT laws apply to RVs the same as they apply to passenger cars.

In other words, they could stop you in a bus but if you show that it's been titled and registered as an RV, and state that you're using it for non-commercial purposes, they need to walk away.

Is your bus registered as a bus or as a motor home?

What makes you think you might be stopped by the DOT?

Regardless, seems like a good idea to get the buzzer working. Never hurts to have all the notice you can when the air system loses pressure.

A officer in any state can pull  a rv over for a safety violation and call for a DOT inspection if he choose to. if it weighs over 26,000 lbs most of the time they let a RV slide with a ticket ,then sometimes they tag it and tow it away

I would want the buzzer working, for earliest warning that something needs my attention, not because of rules, but because it's a good idea?

I would also prefer for the warning to come much higher than the prescribed minimum....

If my coach's air system falls below 90 while i am driving it, something has already gone wrong, i don't want to be goofing off, enjoying the sights, all the way down to 60 lbs before something hollers "look at me!"

Higher setting alarms are available, just takes some looking to find them.

Are you still working on this? I have a C but thinking maybe the same. I think the switch is under the drivers feet but can look at manual for you.
