tag lift

I was talking to a Prevost charter driver last month. I mentioned about steering tag. He said other brands lifted the tag for turns.  Preference?One setup better than the other? May have which is which switched.

I like the lifting tag because you can lift it in slippery (icy) conditions to shift more weight onto the drive axle for better traction. The lifting tag is quite simple: one air bag under it to push it up, after releasing the air out of the main bag on top. The steering tag works good too, but doesn't take weight off, and is more complex. Either system locks back to normal position past 15mph approximately.

I am waiting for the authorities to catch up with the bus crowd and "lifting the tag"

If they are castrating the truck drivers for lifting the axles, resulting in the ones that are left being overweight, why not the bus drivers?

Leave the darn thing on the ground, unless you have take-off traction issues.

Still waiting for someone to quantify the benefit. I measured it years ago, and leave it on the ground. Next guy recommends lifting for corners, better come to the table with some measurements...

My tag will lift but at 15mph it goes back to the pre set weight.I drove a DL3 for 100 miles (not mine ) with the tag chained up for a bad wheel bearing wasn't fun and I sure would not raise and drive one on purpose
