Nice guys at Liberty Coach and BCM
« on: February 18, 2022, 04:03:30 PM »
I decided I wanted rubber bumpers on my bus. They quit making them years ago. Many calls to Prevost including Canada and Visone RV and other scrap yards and Luke and, and, and.
I asked if anyone knew how to get some. Nice BCM guy Robert Glines said I have two. PM me your address. He asked nothing and just sent them. Thank you Robert.
But of course I wanted them front and rear....
Short version is I see most of them on Liberty Coaches. I e-mailed them. Told them I am a Foretravel conversion but hoped they could help me. I heard back in one day from Frank. He called from the Florida office to the Chicago office that does most of the parts. They still had 3 brand new ones in a back storage room gathering dust. In the middle of there Annual event, he coordinated with Chicago, asked me for a small fee for two of them plus shipping, and they sent all three!
And Frank, who I later found out was busy selling 2 multi million dollar coaches, took the time to set me up. They are family owned and run for years, and Frank.....is the CEO!! Got me my silly bumpers in the middle of their very busy Annual event.
Nice guys.
Now for the funny part. After figuring out how to drop my bumper so I could do the front (back was easy, just open engine compartment) I think I may have put them on upside down....
I go to my mechanic Monday. He always has about 12 Liberty buses waiting for service. I'll let you know if I am an idiot.
If you do something stupid, you have to share. It's a training thing....
