New Toad ?
« on: December 19, 2023, 07:29:24 AM »
I saw a new Telsa cyber truck yesterday in Ft Mohave man those things are ugly and have no resemblance to a pickup, it would fly on take off though it took off like a rocket .Lol I hope paint is a option for one to improve the looks, it looked like something a kid would build for a soap box derby

I'd love to see a car accelerate with these specs.

I had no idea that thing weighs 11,000 pounds the way it took off .We will probably be seeing a lot Telsa around here ,I heard Musk purchased the old Ford proving grounds in Yucca Flats from Chrysler, I have seen a lot of vehicles with black masks over the past 20 years here, the proving grounds have been there since 1955 on old route 66 before I 40 was built fwiw

Everything has a reduced range towing.

Electric vehicles get their range from having a very low drag coefficient; so when you add a large drag load there is an expected large impact on range.

There is an auxiliary battery that can be added.

One of the very nice things is that there is 220V split phase 50AMP outlet in the bed that can put out 11KW's of power.... So hey a 132KW house battery....

Due to the stainless steel it can't be painted, it has to be wrapped...

Now if it could be flat towed and able to help push up the hills, plus act as jake brake going down to recover energy....
