What Water Filter System do you use for your bus conversion?

There is a big difference in RV type Water Filters. To prevent from getting sick when traveling all over the country and even while in Mexico, I use this 3-stage Ultra Water Filter System and change the Water Filter Cartridges twice per year to ensure I am always filling my tanks with clean water.

At 4.5 GPM it would take almost an hour to fill my two 110-gal tanks!   I like the idea of filtering all my water, but I can't always be waiting that long, especially if there's a line of other RVs behind me also wanting water.   At this time I'm thinking of having some coarser filters for the tanks, then use a high-performance low-volume filter for potable water only.   I don't need my shower/loo/laundry/etc water to be super-pure, but only the water that ends up inside me.   Do other folk here do this?

The simple solution, John, is to get two sets of these filters set up in parallel to get twice the GPM.   

BTW, is your bus 100% finished yet? I want to do a story on it when you get the table saw and other stuff out of there.

That would be spendy to have two of those filters.   I think I'll keep with my low-budget plan B!

I'm slowly approaching completion, but I've been saying that for how many years?   I'm now making a bifold frameless glass shower door that will look nice, then after the shower is done I'll make the kitchen.   The bathroom is done, the bedroom is almost done, I repainted the bus so it now actually looks half decent*, i.e. progress has speeded up from tectonic to merely glacial.   When the interior looks less like a construction site I'll let you know!

I am glad to hear you are slowly making progress. I can't wait to see how it turns out and to make your bus famous here at BCM, as it is one awesome build. Everything was taken into consideration building that bus.

We fulltime and although the Clearsource Ultra is a good product it could not keep up with our needs.
 Here is what we use now after 3 years of figuring out this fulltime thing. Our filter system is a 3 stage utilizing the usual charcoal and sediment filters but with the addition of a catylytic filter, filters are 20"x3" which cuts down the amount of filter changes that we had to do with the CS 10"x2".

since we boondock, our fresh water usage is limited. An inline water filter is used and our drinking water comes bottled.

We do what Dan said. Only place we won't drink the water is Arizona. Its nasty so we fill at the water stations there with RO water in our 5, 5 gallon blue bottles and pump it up to the sink in the kitchen.

Filter assembly with replaceable element, carbon included. Brita pitcher for drinking water. Worked over all Western U.S., Canada, and Alaska. One place, we drove 35 miles to a lone campground down by a river/ golf club. Water was unfit to use. When leaving, saw a little sign about water not to be used. Somewhat muddy. Flushed and replaced Brita filter. Only water issue we encountered.
Have noticed that water sucks in SW. U.S, for the most part.

When we were in the Big Bend area of Texas, all the ground water south of a specific latitude was deemed unfit for human consumption!
