Services in Quartzite
« on: December 25, 2024, 01:44:45 PM »
I need some service on a diesel generator and a Webasto heater. Finding quality service in and around Quartzite this time of year seems a reasonable ask. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems there should be sufficient options and less costly than here in California.

The inherent problem with "Q" is the demand thru the winter months outpaces the local available workforce,, so all venders,, restaurants,,
etc.. are competing for the same people..>>>Dan

Don,all the good techs are booked most of the time, but people like De Gerald and the Generator Man can usually work you in ,just beware you can get the scammers in Quartzsite, the good ones follow a circuit check they may have service at a show in your area .I have had good luck from De Gerald son and the Generator Man ,the last time De Gerald serviced my AquaHot while the generator guy was replacing a board at the generator shop

Hi Don, I’m at quartzsite right now in my mc5. Last summer I had generator issues. I was adamant to fix it myself. The trouble with me compared to a proper mechanic is I lack experience and confidence. I’m an engineer who’s designed and developed engines and am hands-on but I’m not there compared to these good mechanics. But I DO look at root causes. Anyways, it took me weeks and weeks to trouble shoot and fix the little Onan 7500(it would have taken a good mechanic no time at all) but a really good mechanic in flagstaff helped me later.
He knew I was trying to do it myself so he did only what was required to show what was wrong. He seemed honest. The place is called Flag Tool Equipment Repair (I wish remember the guys name). Now the second issue is that he’s in flagstaff and about 200 miles away.

Yes the flagstaff tool and equipment on US89, is a great company. We get our snow blower fixed there.  Knowledgeable and friendly, lvmci...

Since I've not experienced the Q during winter, Clifford echos my suspicions that there is quite a buzz and keeps business busy.

I sent a message to Brian, son of Lloyd about generator. There is a local generator shop that I've used before so may be a good option rather than get caught up in the Q winter rush.
