SUNVISOR/SUNSHADE
« on: July 05, 2007, 06:09:05 PM »
I am trying to find out who make the power sunvisor or sun shade that slides up and down on a rod. If I am describing this right, it have a rod on each side of the shade. The bottom of the shade itself have a rod with 2 circle guides that slide up and down the two rods on the side. The side visor on the driver side window have these rods also. I cannot get a mfg name or part number. If you know what I am talking about please respond a.s.a.p.
thanks

My Setra's have power shades as you describe on the upper windshield, and spring loaded on the lowers! I'll try to see who they are made by! By the way Setra's and Eagle's supposedly have the same front end radius! They are both Kassboro designed ! FWIW!!

Camping World carries both manual and electric shades for both the front and side windows.  Can't beat Camping World's prices.  Just watch out for some of the typical El Cheapo RV crap that is sold there-but that's with any RV supplier.  Good Luck, TomC

I got mine out of a burnt H3-40.  Cost me 20$ for both.  I think I got a good deal.  Another 5$ for the switches.

Good luck!

That sounds like the ones on my H3-41.  I removed them, built a cabinet above the driver, then reinstalled on the underside  of the cabinet.  They work great, and if I didn't have them, its exactly what I would be trying to buy.  good luck.

wow, Pat, I didn't think there were any burnt or junked ones that were available for parts.  Where was this.

Hey Jim,
Thanks for the picture. This is exactly what i'm looking for. What make and model is your coach??? Maybe i can find the mfg company and go that route. Carefree said they no longer carry through their vendor. She wouldn't give the vender's name!!!

I just came in for a last minute look (fix) at the board before I leave.  I can get it for you in several weeks when I get back, but I need to leave in about 10 minutes.  Its Prevost, H3-41, 1995, serial # S1198.  I think they all have these.

Sorry I can't do better right now.

Bill, I found those shades Prevost sells them in 2 styles and any part you need I ordered the electric one #900597 manuals one #402950 all parts are available (rod, caps, covers, and etc) from Prevost they are not the same as Carefree email what part you need and I will look the parts # for you FWIW they are made by Silent Gliss but they will not sell direct    good luck
