This year's open house on August 18, 2024 from 11 AM to 3 PM was another successful event. The turnout clearly exceeded last year's and could be a new record. 

With sunny weather and temperatures in the 70s, visitors began arriving at 11 am, and a steady stream of people continued arriving throughout the early afternoon. The barbeque lunch began around 11:30 am and continued serving a choice of a hamburger or cheeseburger, giant hot dog, or BBQ chicken breast. They stopped serving around 1:30 pm with a near record of meals served.

The flea market had more vendors than in previous years and was busy throughout the day, offering various bus items for sale.  This year, many diecast bus models were offered by the vendors, and eager buyers quickly snatched them up. 

We had a number of great guest buses in attendance, including Rick Weaver’s 1969 Gillig Big Blue school bus, which was awarded the Pacific Bus Museum Annual 2024 People's Choice Award. Other great guest buses included Wheels of Livermore’s restored Rideo GM TDH-4517 and VTA’s historic TDH-4512, the last 4512 built-in 1965 as San Jose City Lines #6512. Steve Souza brought a 1972 “New Look” GM T8H-5307A-0989 as Golden Gate Transit #854. Frank Rocha’s team brought a trio of School buses, including a Gillig Phantom with a 10-speed, a 1967 Crown 3-axle, and a 1977 Gillig. 

Longtime member Ted Cambell brought his Eastshore Lines 308, a GM PD- 4107 painted as Greyhound 7980 for the movie Zodiac. PBM Secretary Paul Terlemezian brought Amador Stage Lines' newest Prevost H3-45, as did PBM Director At Large Bill Campbell from American Stage Tours. Frank Gonzalez and Chad Goertz brought ex-Greyhound Lines 6159, a 1999 MCI 102-DL3 that was previously one of two traveling museums for Greyhound Lines.
