1976 MCI MC-8 Crusader seated bus for sale. Originally having an 8V71 Detroit, it now features a mechanical 6V92TA engine with an Allison automatic transmission. The interior was updated along with the different engine back when it was in regular service probably in the late 1980's or early 90's. This would make a good conversion candidate. Dimensions are 40' long and 96" wide. Interior headroom is about 6'4". Bus runs and drives great. It has always been on the West Coast.
This bus has had extensive recent repairs done at a diesel repair shop. The engine has had a rebuild after it overheated. It has 6 new injectors installed. All air leaks and fluid leaks that were present have been fixed. Rear airbags have been replaced with new ones. The current a/c system has been serviced and works; the air is cool but not super cold. Both low beam headlights have been changed out with new ones. Also has two brand new 8D Commercial batteries with a battery shut-off switch. Comes with three quarters of a tank of fuel. It hold almost 200 gallons.
It features three fold down tv screens and a stereo/cd player with speakers. There is also a PA system with microphone. It has plenty of underfloor storage in three storage bays. There is an extra steering box in the first bay which is included.
The bus is currently registered in California as a Historical Vehicle.
Clean California title in hand.
