Accretive is good (in a slow way).  Dilutive (the antonym) is bad--right now.  I also don't think this merger will have any effect on most of us bus nuts.  Jack  ???

David -

Considering Thor's QC reputation for their RVs, I certainly hope Mr Martin doesn't put pressure on Mr Rutherford to cut costs to the point that it would significantly reduce the quality of the products in the Airxcel line.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. . .

Wonder how long it will be before another competing manufacturer sues Thor claiming they they can no longer get the components they need for their production.

I wonder if Thor will make Coleman Mach air conditioners exclusive to only Thor RVs?  My plan if one of my air conditioners were to fail is to replace with it with a Coleman Mach 8.

Might look at going "off campus". When dometic told me sucks to be you on my propane valve for my fridge, I am going to JC electric for the Amish special. Love my Dometic A/C units on the bus, but same thing. If they crap out and Dometic says "We don't make that anymore, or there is a year wait", I might try Truma. They are German engineered and recently brought to America. Sometimes you don't have to be held hostage by the monopoly. I'm looking at Truma on line. They offer a low profile Aventa model that provides 15,000 BTU of cooling. Polar Bear tested and approved....
Article about them in this months FMCA if anyone is interested.

We love our Dometic HE Brisk Air II. @ 13500 btu uses a measly  900W running. That's the lowest load in the industry for roof top. Two can run on a 30A circuit. A little pricey reflected by it's efficient operation.

I am stuck with Coleman mine are ducted no way am I tearing the ceiling out and install new air boxes for a different brand plus mine are so quite when they are blowing.1 thermostat that controls 3 units for cooling, electric heat and the Agua Hot really sucks IMO and no one seems to have a answer when the Tsat throws a code and shuts down all 3 units, when that happens I have to reboot the system again

too much electronics. convenient, but you get into these issues. No reason you couldn't just turn on one to three with manual switches. Anyway, never liked Dometic products clear back to 80's. I prefer Coleman and Norcold. But I guess just like tires and oil preference for some.

I had good luck from the older Dometic Penguins units the newer penguins ll are pretty crappy for cooling and I too preferred Norcold over Dometic ,because Norcold was made in America

I'm in no way stuck on Dometic. I'm stuck on a 13500 btu roof air that is super efficient. They exist in the mini split league but no roof air can come near a 13500 that draws 900W and easily starts on a 2500W genny or inverter. If I could find one I'd consider it. We considered mini split but have absolutely no room for it.

I am stuck on Coleman with 15,000 btu AC, heat pump and the condensation pump no way can I get to 7.5 amps,I am around 12 to 15 amps x 3 but that's ok if I can find out why the Tstat drops the 12v and shuts downs, mini splits are out of the question for me.so I am going to start with 3 new units and go from there
